Mona is currently in beta. Access is free, invite only and provided for testing and feedback purposes. As a beta user, you understand that:

  • The app is still in development and may contain bugs or incomplete features.
  • Features may change, be removed, or behave unexpectedly.
  • We may ask for your feedback to help improve the product.
  • We reserve the right to end beta access at any time.

These Terms will be updated when Mona moves to a paid or publicly available product.


3. Not Financial Advice

Mona does not provide financial advice. Everything within the app — including AI-generated responses, coaching prompts, educational content, spending insights, and goal suggestions — is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Mona is not a regulated financial adviser. Nothing in the app constitutes, or should be treated as, financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You should not make financial decisions based solely on information provided by Mona.

If you need personalised financial advice, please consult a qualified and FCA-regulated financial adviser.


4. Eligibility

To use Mona, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

By using Mona, you confirm that you meet these requirements.


5. Your Account

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.


6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Mona for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the app.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app or its infrastructure.
  • Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or malicious content.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person.

7. AI Coaching Feature

Mona includes an AI-powered coaching feature that responds to financial questions and data you enter. You understand and agree that:

  • AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate or complete.
  • AI responses do not constitute financial advice (see Section 3).
  • You should apply your own judgement before acting on any AI-generated content.
  • We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI responses.

8. Intellectual Property

All content within Mona — including the app design, text, graphics, and AI features — is owned by or licensed to Mona Money. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app without our prior written permission.

Content you enter into the app (your financial data, notes, and goals) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service to you.


9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Mona is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, that:

  • The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure.
  • The information within the app is accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • The app will meet your specific needs or expectations.

Use of the app is at your own risk.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Mona Money shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to financial loss, loss of data, or decisions made based on content within the app.

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use the app (which during beta is £0).


11. Third-Party Links and Services

Mona may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. Accessing them is at your own risk.


12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Mona at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other operational reason during the beta period.

You may stop using Mona at any time. To delete your account, contact us at hello@monamoney.co.uk.


13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — particularly as Mona moves out of beta. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of Mona after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Mona will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
